Got Ubuntu 9.10 (Karmic) running on the N900.
Working:
- X, with GNOME and GNOME netbook launcher.
- Keyboard keymap
- Touchscreen (technically)
- Wi-Fi (now working in network-manager)
- Mounting the Maemo rootfs partition (ubifs:ubi0)
Not working:
- Touchscreen not properly calibrated.
- Sound not tested.
- Bluetooth
- Watchdog kicker
- Charging (bme)
- LEDs (mce)
