Got Ubuntu 9.10 (Karmic) running on the N900.
Working:
- X, with GNOME and GNOME netbook launcher.
- Keyboard keymap
- Touchscreen (technically)
- Wi-Fi (now working in network-manager)
- Mounting the Maemo rootfs partition (ubi0:rootfs)
- LEDs
- Watchdog kicker
Not working:
- Touchscreen not properly calibrated.(hmm, this doesn't seem to be a calibration issue, but a kernel module one, looking more into it)
- Sound not tested.
- Bluetooth
- Charging (bme)
- Cellular modem
